Terms of Service

Last updated:

Audience: pharmacy professionals (and LPC administrators) using Community Pharmacy Connect ("CPC", "the Service").

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Neuronet Dev Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), the provider of CPC.

By creating an account or using CPC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

CPC is provided free of charge during the current pilot.

2. What the Service is — and what it is not

What CPC does:

What CPC is NOT — read this carefully (important safety and liability point):

3. Eligibility

CPC is intended only for pharmacy professionals registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) to practise in Great Britain, and authorised LPC administrators. By using CPC you confirm that:

We verify your registration status and may suspend or remove access if you are not, or cease to be, eligible.

4. Your account and security

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms (see §11).

6. The nature of your acknowledgements

When you acknowledge an alert, CPC writes an immutable, append-only (WORM) evidence record capturing who/what/when, including a content hash, whether you re-authenticated, your signed name, and integrity signals such as IP address and device information.

You acknowledge and agree that:

How this data is handled (and the interaction between immutability and your erasure rights) is described in the Privacy Notice (see §9).

7. Availability and changes to the Service

8. Intellectual property

We (and our licensors) own the Service, its software, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use CPC for its intended professional purpose during the pilot. Content you author (e.g. CPD reflections, acknowledgement signed names) remains yours; you grant us the rights needed to host, process, and present it to operate the Service and produce your evidence records.

9. Data protection

We process personal data as described in the CPC Privacy Notice (cpc-app.co.uk/privacy), which forms part of these Terms. It explains what we collect (including acknowledgement WORM records with IP/device, GPhC number, ODS/site, CPD reflections, shift pulses, and consent events), our processors (Clerk, Neon, Vercel), data residency, retention, and your rights. Please read it before using CPC.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

No warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPC is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind (express or implied), including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, timeliness of alerts, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that alert content delivered through CPC is complete, current, or error-free; the official source remains authoritative.

You remain responsible. CPC is a tool. You — the pharmacy professional — remain professionally and legally responsible for reading, interpreting, and acting on safety alerts and for patient safety. We are not responsible for clinical, professional, regulatory, or operational decisions you make, or fail to make, whether or not you recorded an acknowledgement in CPC.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: indirect, special, or consequential loss; loss of profit, goodwill, or data; or any harm arising from your reliance on CPC as a substitute for your own judgement or official sources, from Service unavailability, or from alert delay/inaccuracy. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to £100.

Nothing excluded that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Suspension and termination

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
